I purchased a Harmon Kardon avr 1600 approximately 5 mon...

I purchased a Harmon Kardon avr 1600 approximately 5 months ago from future shop. I'm having several problems when switching from one device to another. Video and sound randomly disappear when for example switching from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2. The only fix seems to be turning the power off of the reciever and then waiting 5 mins then turning it back on. Also When I connected a device(XBOX 360) to HDMI 3 there is sound but no video. All HDMI cables are working and the device works fine if connected direct to the TV. The AVR recognizes the device as it says it is displaying 1080P but again no video. I'm wondering if there is some kind of soft/firmware update that can be performed on the reciever or if I should just return it
