I hooked up a VSX 1026K bought last week and sound was incredible with lot of crisp and clarity, watched TDK and hear a lot of new instruments which I never heard when my Kenweood 509 was amplifying. But I have a complaint, I noticed the Video pass thourgh and up conversion is poor, I noticed even a 1080 P signal is loosing its quality compared to direct connet from my Sony BR player. Just wondering any body else has noticed this and any advices to make the video unaltered, I hate to run several wires to my Sony KBL 55 HX 729 which was mounted on wall and limited conduits. Expert adivce is needed. I can return the unit and get a better one which will do the right job if needed...Thanks in advance

The VSX1026 has seperate video controls. There are settings that may need to be adjusted if they haven`t already, like resolution and colour brightnes and sharpness settings. Refer to the manual before adjusting the video setting to find out what they control. Also, write down where the numbers were before you changed them, just incase.
Also depending on the settings of the BD player it may have an important setting set to Auto of Off that may be limiting the upcoversion because of the new connection.
If it still isn`t where it should be, then exchange for a different amp.
Hope that helps.
