I had an autostart remote started installed at Futureshop on my Honda Ridgeline in 2009. The remote seems to go through batteries within weeks now where it use to last a year or more. Just wondering if you know of any issues like this? Also, the plastic housing of the remote is cracking. Is it possible to purchase a new remote for it? The model # on the back of the remote is NAHAS5501. It is a 2 way remote. I've emailed Autostart's customer service several times with no reply. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

FutureShop Sells Nordic remote starts.
Sometimes the remotes will work with AutoStart. But that's your risk if you want to try.
As for the remotes going through batteries.
1. Make sure the remote (now cracked) is not pushing the buttons down while in your pocket/purse
2. Are you using the remote more? more use more drain.
3. what type of battery are you using? this makes a huge difference (and it's not always the big brand that's the best)

I purchased the Autostart from Futureshop.
As for your questions,
1) I don't think the buttons are being pushed in my pocket.....I think I would here it beeping or my truck would be running
2) I am actually using the remote a lot less than I used to, but the batteries are dying faster and faster it seems
3) using Energizer 2025's. Really the only brand I ever see in the small disc batteries. Is there a better option out there for me.
Thanks

I don't see the replacement remotes online anymore.
Your best bet would be to go into a FutureShop and Talk to a Car Install (connectpro) Lead installer. They
should be able to order the remote for you.
