Looking to replace 05 Grand Prix stock stereo

I am thinking about doing this in stages, speakers first and later head unit, maybe an amp. I am liking what I have read about Infinity products, but will I damage them running them with the stock head unit? How much power does this head unit put out?

Does your car have Bose and/or OnStar?

I would replace the deck first, then the speakers, then add stuff from there. This way you know your head unit will still give you decent volume when you replace the speakers (and you won't have to go with the bottom of the line power wise).
