Hey guys, according to the Futureshop ad here the sub is 1200 Watts max... anybody know the RMS of it? Also, the ad states 31hz as the low, however right on the box it says 38hz.. that kind of pisses me off... I mighta changed my mind if I had known it only goes that low..
Anywho the FS sale is off now so I will just sit on it..
Here's the ad: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/mtx-mtx-10-
If anybody knows that would help a lot! Thanks!

MTX Audio usually specs the RMS power of their speakers at half the peak power - therefore the RMS power of this speaker is 600W.

Okay, thanks for that tiip...
However, can you tell me why Futureshop refuses top put the RMS rating on the site, let alone the stores? As well, they even lied about the frequency response...
Thanks for that though, I was wondering what amp to get, might get the Sony Xplod amp now...

I don't work for FutureShop, and I don't think it is appropriate for me to speculate on FutureShop's discussion forum in order to answer your (very valid) questions. My own observation is that specifications errors and omissions are fairly common on Future Shop's web site. Whenever possible, it is best to go directly to the manufacturer's web site for product information.

I have tried, but MTX's site is impossible to navigate and I cannot even find enclosures with subs in them..
Thanks for all your help, you have answered all my questions.

I agree with your comments regarding the MTX web site - it is confusing.
I think that many of MTX's products are designed specifically for large retailers they partner with. The dual-speaker sub you have been looking at on Future Shop's web site, for example, is not listed on the MTX web site. The drivers in the Future Shop box are listed on the MTX web site but no detailed specs are provided for them - which suggests to me that MTX only sells these drivers within products marketed by retailers like Future Shop.
