Currently purchased a new Honda Ridgeline, and was looking at having Viper 5901 combo installed.
My local dealer has advised me that if I go through with the installation, that they will not cover any component failure as result of this installation, they do not offer a factory, or local option.
I am fine going ahead with Future Shop doing the installation, bu thave the following questions,
1. Does Future shop do proper installation technices (ie soldering etc)
2. What is the installation warranty
The Honda dealer has told me they have had many vehicles brought in that will not start, or lights stay on because of starter/alarm systems, I do not want to have any issues so wnat to be sure I make the proper descision.
If you could give me any information that would be great,
Thanks you,
JM1

Future shop installers are all certified, and follow proper procedures. All wires are properly connected.
Installation is fully covered under their warranty, and if anything Future Shop does that damages your car, it will be covered.
That being said, adding in a remote start/alarm will not void any factory warranty for the vehicle that I have seen. I have heard from many different places of dealerships saying this before though.
All in all, you should have no problems with this, good luck.
