Program Keyless entry / Starter - FM Transmitter NAHRLCD4

I bought a car with an FM transmitter. I needed to replace the battery, and once I got the new one it, it is no longer connected to my vehicle.

Is there a manual for this? Does anyone know how to re-program it to connect to my vehicle? My lock doesn't work, so technically I am without a vehicle now

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to flash the hoodpin, cycle the key once, and then hold the lock button the remote down to relearn it to the brain. There are detailed instructions here on the forum if you need more info, just do a quick search.

is this the remote?

If this is it you can follow STU's instructions on how to reprogram the remote to the brain.  Or you can drop by a FutureShop Bay and see if they can program it. Should only take a minute if everything in the car is working properly.

cheers.

As far as I can tell it seems like you have a Nordic, although you only provided us with the FCC ID number that is on the back of the remote. Perhaps you can take a look under the dash and find the brain of the unit, which should have the actual model number on it, or confirm that the picture that ShwaCarInstall provided is indeed your remote, that would give us some more information.

If it is indeed a Nordic, then the instructions above should work to reprogram the remote to the brain..

Step 1: Flash the hood pin. Do this by opening the hood, locate the hood pin. Press and hold it down for about 7 seconds, release it, and then right away press it back down and release it again right away. If your parking lights are hooked up, they should now be on, indicating you are in programming mode.

Step 2: Insert your key into the ignition, and turn the key to RUN, and then back off.

Step 3: Press and hold the lock button on your remote. After a few seconds the parking lights, if hooked up, should flash at you 5 times, or you will hear a clicking sound from the brain under the dash click 5 times.

Step 4: Close the hood, wait a few seconds and try your remote.

Edit: Seems Im a slow typer lol

Hi - looking for help.  I have this starter, but the antenna on the remote broke and I need to get a replacement remote.  Can I do that through Future Shop?  I am in Edmonton Alberta.

Thank you so much - this has been an arduous search!

I own this car starter and appreciate your instructions on how to reconnect it, as it stopped working for me the other day and it is  -30 where I live! I would also appreciate any information you can give me as to where to find the manual because when I bought my car this starter was already installed. Appreciate any sort of help. Thanks.

The manual is only available to dealers as far as I can find. You may be able to find one floating around online if you try hard enough, or most Future Shop locations will usually be happy to make you a copy of the manual if you ask for it.

Hi! I have that exact remote start (model: FCC ID:NAHRLCD4). And I can't get it to be programmed. My parking lights never go on. I have a Rav4 '97 (manual transmission). Can anyone please give me advice?
