Hi all,

I have Nordic Starter NS-1014 + Passlock Interface Module Directed Electronics Inc 555I.

Lost my remote.

Please let me know which replacement remote starter I can buy for my Remote Starter system.

I got the replacement remote NS104 with red LED from Future Shop.

Tried program it by standard procedure:

It doesn't work: when I press START button, the lights flash 5 times. that's it. Reset the NS-1014 before programming NS104 doesn't help either.

I thought that the NS104 (red LED) doesn't work for my NS1014 (date 2005-07-06 V.H3.6 F3.98).

Bring my car (Honda CRV) to Future Shop Shawnessy Calgary, Alberta and the tech at that shop was able to program my NS104. It works!

Ask that tech about the  above info he says it is probably incorrect!.

Glad you were able to get it too work. It can be stressfull trying to find a remote that works (as they are updated every year, and outdated every year).

but that 1014 had multiple revisions because of transmission problems (short range). So they had a different LED in the remote to show this.  I've see units program all of the  remotes (all colours), and I've seen units not program any remotes.  Most of the time this is dependent on the type of antenna you received.  If it was the first original unit, you may only be able to program that remote. If it was the later antenna (updated hardware) you might have more of a chance getting them all to work.

Thank you for further info about different (firmware?) versions of NS1014 that some can be only programmed  with a certain remote LED colour, some versions can work with all remote LED colours.

The detail of my NS-1014 had been given in the previous post.

By the way, I had mistakenly bought a NS-103 remote (RED led) (ordered it online from a remote Future Shop store), and also get it work on my NS-1014 as well. One difference is I have to press "Trunk" to start my car ?! I decide keeping it as a back-up.

Can someone help me find a Nordic NS-103 the replacement for Artic Start  NS-4503. ?
