Sound System Labour question

I'm looking to put in an entire new sound system into my 2000 Honda Civic coupe.  I'm curious as to how much I'll be looking at for the labour to install it all.  I've noticed in previous posts that the price is $60/hr.  So how much will I be looking at to install a new deck, 4 new speakers, a sub, and an amp.  What other costs could/will there be besides the cost of each of these components and the labour?

Thanks for any and all help!

Re: Sound System Labour question

Another question.  If I were to install just the deck and 4 speakers and waited on the amp and sub, would it become more difficult and costly for them to install than if it were all at once?

Re: Sound System Labour question

The prices for installation can be found here.

Roughly, deck is $50, speakers are $40-$60 per pair depending on type of speaker and installation difficulty, and your amp & sub is $70. Talk to your installer for an exact quote..

On top of labour, you will need mounting kit and wiring harness for the deck install, roughly $50. You will also need an amp kit for the sub - power & ground wire, fuse/fuse holder, RCAs, remote power wire, and ring terminals, roughly $100 depending on which kit you get.

It makes no difference on price if you get your subs installed with the deck and speakers or after. Just saves the installer a few minutes only having to have the deck pulled out once if its done all at the same time.
