Installed by future shop on my malibu 2000, NS-1054 only works for locking/ unlocking doors, does not remotely starts car engine. I had to replace my battery and after that it happened.Idont dont know how to reset it. Need some help. thanks

When you push the lightning bolt on the remote, what does the car do? flash the lights? hear clicking in the dash? tries to start but fails?

Only the start button on remote, flashes. No click in the dash, never tries to start and the car lights dont even flash. Thanks

Valet mode. is the lights on the antenna on solid? if so cycling the key on and off 5 times within 5 to 10 seconds should exit valet mode.

When Start Engine button is pressed on remote, the car lights flickers 14/15 times and I can hear some relay clicking in the dash, nothing happens after that. Engine wont even try to start.

if I recall......... 1. Flash the safety hood pin. (see manual, or other posts on this forum) 2. push foot brake 8 times. Lights should flash a couple of times. 3. Follow instructions in manual to reprogram the remotes, and reprogram tach settings or anything else that was put in at installation time. Definetly recommend getting this done at a FS install bay. Just show your installation receipt and work order and it will be free if it was installed by FS. Cheers

With many models you are also able to exit the valet mode by pressing a series of buttons on your remote. I dont remember what they are off the top of my head, but I know that compustar prints it along with many different settings right on the back of the remote.
