my faceplate got stolen and i dont know the model number but it is kenwood cd player that looks like the 222 but there are a few models that look the same can i just buy any faceplate that looks like my old one

Not likely. Sometimes you can buy the same one and it will, other times they are coded and will only work with that specific deck.

I would have the rest of the radio removed so you can see the model number, call the manufacturer and see how much it would be for a new faceplate. Then you can see if you want to get the faceplate or if it's cheaper to get a whole new deck
