I bought a Yamaha HTR6260 recently and am interested in hooking up an MP3 player. 1. Where do I find this on your website and 2. I can I hook up an MP3 or does it need to be an Ipod?

You can use both an IPod and MP3 player with the Yamaha 6260 Receiver. Your manual should show you how to hook this up. Check the index at the front of your manual, to guide you to the right section.

if you want a cheap, universal solution, you can use a 3.5mm to stereo/mini rca cable like this:

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/dynex-3-mini-rca-audio-cable-dx-av240/10091998.aspx?path=99ba...

It can be used with an ipod, or any mp3 player or for that matter anything with a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can also use with your laptops headphone port for sound. The only drawback is that you will have to manually change or select tracks as it does not have remote support like the official ipod adapters yamaha sells. I actually use this because the ipod adapters are rather expensive and can only be used with ipods. With this i can use it with my psp, laptop, cell phone, ipod etc...
