Recommended hard disk to convert to a Bell HD receiver to a RVP.

I read the specs as recommended by Bell on their site. Finding a external HD that does not go in silent mode seems to be difficult. Can you recommend one or more solution?

Thanks.

Re: Recommended hard disk to convert to a Bell HD receiver to a RVP.

I suggest you do a web search on the words "Western Digital mybook dvr". This will bring up a list of suppliers of Western Digital's model of external hard drive which is specifically designed for use as an external storage expander for all HD receivers and HDPVRs. Make sure you buy a model which has the interface your Bell HD receiver requires (if you have the Bell 6131 and 6141 HD, it will be a USB interface). Incidentally, Future Shop does not seem to carry these hard drive models from Western Digital.

Bought the WD AV 1 TB DVR Expander at (competitor). Plug and Play. Works great.
Thanks agian for the tip.
