HD receivers and PVRs that are purchased for use on Shaw's cable system are covered by a 3 year exchange warranty provided by Shaw. In practical terms what that means is if it fails within three years of purchase, Shaw will replace it with either a new or refurbished as new receiver or PVR, or with another make/model of HD receiver or PVR with the same features.
