Absolutely. There is nothing that says that you need to use Sony with Sony or Samsung with Samsung. The main benefits of matching brands are that you typically only need one remote (for example, your TV remote would be able to control your Blu-ray player, or vice versa), and in some other cases, there may be other similar optimizations. However, a 3D Sony Blu-ray should work just fine with your Samsung 3D Plasma TV (if you did have any problems for any reasons though, you would be able to return the Blu-ray player if you purchase it from Future Shop).
