the resolution specs on the optoma 720p home theatre projector for the svga is only 800 by 600 does that mean if i use the vga hook up that will be the resolution output will be?
Yes. Its more than likely a data projector, not a home theatre projector. It should have component inputs, maybe even a DVI input which should give you 720p. I believe the 800x600 is an SD screen as well. 4:3 aspect ratio not widescreen 16:9.
