What's up with the new Connect Pro videos and having the bottom part of the screen warping/stretching the image around that area? Kinda strange.

What's up with the professional equipment being used to film them? :smileytongue:
Makes me think this whole how-to thing was going to be FS launched regardless of user activity lol

As for the warping - I only watched (okay, half watched) three of the Connect Pro videos, and there wasn't any warping I was aware of.

Ah whatever, the equipment makes it look better in the background.
Its nice to have more videos even if alot of them are directly from Futureshop.
What annoyed me was with ram video and checking the operator's manual to see what ram you have, I don't think people really ever know where those manuals are, after many years of using a computer. But I guess for legal reason they can't mention digital programs to check the type of ram you have.

The RAM one through me off - I wasn't expecting FS to demonstrate exactly how simple it was; if a sales person had said that within earshot of a manager you'd think something would be said as you're not selling the services.

Well we will still get posts on here of people RAMming (haha...) the wrong type into a memory slot that is not the right type that results in messed motherboards. So its still not something the average person should try from watching a video.

That would be hard, because of how laptops are built, barely anything is upgradable and it can be easier to cause damage because of how compact laptops are.

Videos

Not to be too critical but the videos are kinda pointless...If you're a do-it-your-selfer, they don't show you anymore than you already know.  If you're a total noob, they aren't detailed enough to get your job done.  Bottom line is they appear to push you towards purchasing professional assistance rather than allowing you to truly do it yourself.
