Hi everyone, we are hitting the time where we are less than 1 month left to the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on Nov 8, 2011! Are they honestly all sold out of hardened editions or are they going to restock before release?  It would be a seriously corny and annoying move on Activision's part if they decided to literally make the hardened edition THAT limited, as it would lose them tons of revenue from users upgrading to basically pre-paying for DLC and Elite that may not have bothered with it otherwise.  Actually all this pre-order nonsense with bf3 is getting irritating too, am I the only one who is bothered by how these publishers are trying to force us to commit to a store to buy these?  Honestly, it's like dealing with a pushy girlfriend or wife.  I didn't pre-order either of these games on purpose because I want to get it at midnight but am not sure which stores are doing midnight releases or which one will have the most dorks in line so I would like to cruise through town and find the shortest line to get it.  If I commit to buying it at one place, I might be screwing myself over.  I really wish I could just buy it on launch day like a normal person without missing out on things.

No, you aren't the only one. The misinformation I've recieved regarding specifics of the midnight release, number of hardened editions, pre ordering online and being able to pick up in store is astounding. I have gone to both future shop and (competitor) a number of times now and recieved a different answer every time. As a consumer, this is really turning me off of purchasing video games all together if they are going to make it this complicated and not even bother to get each stores facts straight. Personally, I think i'm going to just go to the midnight release at future shop and hope i can get a hardened edition. I would have PREFERED to go to (competitor) midnight release because I am a reward zone member and it would have worked out IF I could even get a hardened edition there either. But, I have already switched my pre order to future shop and am getting pretty sick of the back and forth game.

Hey Jason,

I'm sorry about any misinformation you've received in-store, but that's why this board is here, to get the facts straight and to be a delicious muffin basket of knowledge.

Pre-ordering online will have the game reserved and shipped to you and pre-ordering in-store will have the game reserved for you at that particular store. As we get closer to release dates, the pre-orders become very limited as that's when the mad rush to reserve a copy comes.

Is there going to be hardened editions available to purchase at the midnight release or the only way to get hardened editions is by pre-ordering it online?

Hi, you will have the opportunity to get the Hardened Edition for COD MW3 at midnight at all FS stores but stock is extremely limited.

There is not a lot of Hardened Edition for COD MW3 in the market this time around so be sure to line up early!

There are still some Hardened Editions available online on Xbox 360. Better get them quick as the PS3 one already sold out!

Hello, i have 3 quick questions.

1. Will the steelbook's also be available at the Sudbury location? They open at 8:00AM, so it's not really a midnight release.

2. Will there be some Hardened editions available at the Sudbury location?

3. If i buy the hardened edition, do i also get the limited edition steel book, if there is any left?
