That could be making the salespeople a littel nervous with you fiddling around with the box!
Meh, that's their problem. LOL It's actually really easy... as long as you tilt the box onto the side so the 360 moves so you can see the right information, it shouldn't make them nervous. I even had one salesperson ask me if I was looking for a Jasper. LOL

I was browsing the forums and came across this one. I was just wondering what the difference between and Falcon and the Jasper is, other than that the Jasper is the newest. I'm aware that the first gen console had the massive callback because of the RRoD, but are the people who have the Falcon systems at risk of the RRoD or any other failure?
It never actually had a "callback," only a huge warranty extension for the RRoD specifically. The Falcons AND Jaspers are still at risk of the failure, but since the hardware was revisde, they are at significantly less risk of failure than the Zephyrs. The difference between the Falcon and Jasper is that the Jaspers now sport a 65nm GPU rather than the Flacon's 80nm GPU or the Zephyr's 90nm GPU. The GPU is the chip that generally overheats and actually causes the RRoD. With it being smaller, it needs less power and heats up less, hence being less prone to RRoD-ing...lol

The Jasper has a less chance to overheat (it still can), but if you keep your Falcon (or even the first generation Zephyr) ventilated and take care of it, it will be fine. I know someone who has a 360 from launch which never broke, and my Falcon from mid 2008 has been going well for 3/4 of a year now.Message Edited by LOLRUS on 12-28-2008 08:10 AM
Yes, you can keep it well ventilated, and that can reduce the chances of gettingthe RRoD but usually it's hit or miss. My 360s have always been on the top shelf of the entertainment unit where it's not enclosed at all. Trust me, I'm on my 6th 360 with a warranty extension on it.

Nope.
Everything I find in Ottawa East is older 083_X (14.2) models and not 0845X(12.1) models. Even when the units sell out and new ones come in. I've noticed that Future Shop is reporting that they have new arcades in stock according to this site. They were out last week. There is a thread on XBox-Scene for all of canada, and there hasn't been much luck.
I checked over 4 or 5 consoles at the Markham store, and...
