Basically, I have an issue with one of my controllers. It works very well, actually. My only issue is the Xbox guide button. It's EXTREMELY sticky, and very irritating. Someone must have been eating something while playing.
Regardless, I was just wondering if I could perhaps bring in my controller for a repair (if you even want to call it that). I don't have a PSP, so I wouldn't mind paying a small fee. So long as it's not egregeously high.

Unfortunately, FutureShop does not provide a repair service for controllers, and if you had the PSP, it's such a relatively low-value item, that it'd be replaced instead of repaired.
Once you're also outside the first 90 days, which is Microsoft's warranty period on most accessories, the best you can do is drop the cash to pick up a new one. ![]()
I know, not what you wanted to hear, but that's the unfortunate truth. ![]()

Have you tried yourself? It's really very easy to open up a controller, all you need is a small screwdriver. Once you take the back off whats inside will generally hold together just fine. I would just take an alcohol swab and try to clean around the button as best i could, then pop the casing back together.
I can't speak to service time & cost, but my guess is any more than that and it wouldn't be economically logical to have it repaired anyway, you'd probably be better off getting just getting a new one. I could be wrong, but aren't xbox controllers on sale for $40 right now?

Yea, that is a wise suggestion as well. ![]()

Just a small disclaimer.
You will void your warranty by opening your remote yourself.
