At 5PM EDT, I couldn't find one single Blu-ray, either Steelbook or regular, in the 2 stores in downtown Montreal. I only saw 2-3 copies of the DVD version. Is something wrong because I still saw lots of Cars 2, Bambi, Pirates of the Carribean 4 in special packaging but not one single Snow White and the Huntsman on Blu-ray Steelbook?

My pre-order still hasn't arrived either. Maybe something's wrong with their inventory.

Why do we pre order something that we never recieve on time. Many company's ship them Thursday or Friday for you to recieve by Monday or Tuesday. If I didn't get this on the labor day sale I would have done store pickup. I know when fast 5 was released I never recieved my movie and I was lucky to get a copy at the store

Same thing here.... I received everytime 10 days beforme the release date is very bad when you wautung a new release.....

When you pre-order you guarantee that you will get a copy, not that you will get a copy on release day. For higher demand items, it's suggested to pre-order because there is always the possibility that what you want might not be there. There is no guarantee on the part of Future Shop to get you the item you are after on release day. The only guarantee is that by pre-ordering, you WILL get the item.

The other option that you've got is to wake up early in the morning on release day (say 6-7AM) and do an in-store pickup order for what you want. The system gets updated at about 2-3AM with the new items, so by the time you're done work or school you should be able to go and pick up what you're after then.

Just an idea if you don't like the system for pre-ordering at FS.

How does every other company manage to give you it on time but futureshop and the best purchase company can't. I would have done a instore pickup if it wasnt due to the 10% after hours and labor day sales. That doesn't explain not even recieving a pre order and had to drive to the store luckily getting fast five steelbook and a credit

My copy has not even shipped yet, and I was already billed for it on Monday.  There was a problem with their systems when they did the upgrade.  So I have no clue if my order is even going to come..  But they did charge me for it.

Now I have the choice, do I go to the store and pick one up and then return the one I get in the mail (if/when I ever do)? Or do I wait and see if my copy will ever ship out?

The other bad thing about pre-ordering steelbooks, is when I did it with harry potter my case was all smashed up because of Canada Post, or if not that then Futureshop sends out the ones with the scratches on the spine.

Oh well,  I did get the labour day sale price, and I used a gift card.  But would be nice to at least know if it shipped yet or not, according to my order it's In Stock, Charged, but not shipped.

What's funny is the inventory system updates at 9AM and on the first day of release, one of the downtown Montreal store already stated sold out. I really don't believe that much people went and bought out all the Steelbook copies of that store between 8-9AM on that day when I still see lots and lots of Steelbook/special packaging of other movies laying around.

Btw, there was barely any space allocated for Snow White and the Huntsman on the shelf of the new movie release section (only one shelf row for the DVD version and one for the Blu-ray which was empty). I usually see a whole shelf level or 2 completely allocated for the big movie release of the day.

Apparentlly a manufactur problem and they should be shipped tomorrow as I was told mine will be shipped tomorrow and I pre ordered during the 16 hr after hour sale. Back order problem they said
