The paint hasn't fallen. I can see a tiny gap on the inside edge, but you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it.
I've checked through three stores now and they are all roughly the same. Tiny gap, so it is not perfect, but it is not as prevalent as in your photo.
In contrast, COWBOYS AND ALIENS and HANGOVER II SteelBooks do not exhibit this issue.
