Hi all, I just ran into the steel book thread , wow, thanks for the interest!

Here is the deal;

YES...more are coming, alot more.

BUT...they will be Blu Ray Only (sorry DVD folks)

They are VERY expensive to have made (they come from Europe!!)  and I only get so much cash from the vendor to balance the cost back down so YOU dont have to pay more (or only a little bit more).

Often I can leverage a run from a big retailer in the states but they have been backing off these this year so Watchmen was the first big one I was able to do this year (We were very excited about the art on that one...thanks Warner!)

We have the following happening,

• Disney...look for a big Disney program that involves some of the older classics and the new ones (UP, Wall E, Snow White and many more)
• Almost all the big ones and some medium ones will have steel books , Star Trek, Terminator, Harry P, Inglorious Basterds, Public Enemies, Angels Demons...and maybe Hangover

We do our best to get cool unused art on the outside AND inside so we hope you enjoy this batch.

Awesome! I'm only missing one of the FutureShop steelbooks ( I Am Legend ), but I am really exicted about Star Trek and Terminator. Definately saves me from having to import the U.K. ones!

good news ian. c u suggest to limit right away 3 per house on the siteand instore??  some poeple clear them out nad sells them to americans. maybe after the fist week,then anyone can buy as much as they want of whats left. but give us a fair cahnce to get a copy if we cant make it the 1st day!!

I also have a question for you Ian.

Are they all sold out online now? It seems that all of the original ones are now gone, and the Curse of the Black Pearl one that was up is also missing now. The only one that shows is Wall-E.

I gotta ask though why was there never a Steelbook for Transformers?!! how bout the new Transformers?? (dunno if you can tell us but thought id ask)

Also will the Snow White steelbook be the same as the parent company down south? (cuz that one looks great)

I do not see any listings online (www.Futureshop.ca). Will this be in-store items only? Does anyone have release dates and confirmed titles?

HI , there are some steel books left from prior promotions. We will be collecting everything together under one tab by October. Very few of the new ones are on line yet as the art ect is still coming in. We post at least 2 weeks out from the release and will try for a little sooner if we have the info set up.

One thing to remember as well, the price MAY come down from the pre book price vs the first day. Competition issues keep us from posting some of the pricing until the last minute. You will ALWAYS get the lowest price if you pre booked.
