Reggie on Wii U: "You can plug in a full-on three terabyte hard drive if you want"

Re: Wiiu external hard drive

So that means I can pretty much use any portable external hard drive.

Re: Wiiu external hard drive

You probably can, but you probably can't use it for game storage but just for media

Re: Wiiu external hard drive

Im pretty sure it is meant for game storage because there isn't that much downloadable content on the wiiu most of it is streaming.

I haven't read anything official yet, but I guess it's possible. But that would mean you wouldn't need to install software onto the wiiu for it to recognize illegal games. We'll see what other information gets released. (:

I think it's for DLC. But, I would rather get the deluxe bundle. For $50 more you get:

  • Nintendo Land video game
  • Deluxe Digital Promotion
  • Wii U GamePad Stand
  • Wii U GamePad Cradle
  • Wii U Console Stand

Re: Wiiu external hard drive

I guess but i mean I'm planning on only getting like 20-30 disk games. And i wanna get dlc for about 2 of those games. Would 32gb be enough?

Re: Wiiu external hard drive

It depends on the game. "For example, Super Mario Galaxy saves only use one block while Super Smash Bros. Brawl saves take 128."

32 GB is roughly 250,000 blocks.

So it should be enough.
