I have a few questions about these 2 games.
First are the instruments compaitable with each of the other games? Meaning I f I buy RB2 with theband kit, can I use the game disc from GHWT and play with those intruments?
Second which instruments are better for younger (therfore harder on the equipment) players?
I have read several reviews and comparisons and everything kinda ends in a tie, right now I am leaning towards RB2 but want to make sure II make the right choice. BTW neither I or my family members can be considered musicians and we would need one game that is more suitible for novice players.

Hi!
If you're planning on purchasing either bundle for PS3 or Xbox 360, the peripherals will definitely be cross-compatible.
However, if it's for Wii or PS2, you're pretty much out of luck ![]()
I'm not sure about the durability, but from my experience, drums in Guitar Hero:World Tour are much harder than Rock Band 1 or 2.
Hope that was at least a bit helpful >_<

Comming from a veteran of GHWT, Rock Bands 1 and 2, as well as GH3, here are my preferences.
Drum Kit: RB2
Guitar: GHWT by far
Game: RB2
Setlist(songs): RB2
In terms of durability, there's not much differences. Both games have their issues. Overall though, the multiplayer experience, i find, is much better presented by RB2. However, GHWT isn't a bad game either.
Just a side note, I've had quite a few problems with my GHWT drums, and I've already had to return one set. On the other end of the spectrum, my friends RB drum pedal as well as RB Guitar have both had to be replaced. There have been many issues reported with the GHWT Guitar, although I've yet to experience any.

RB has a better set list, IMO. It also has more downloadable songs. You also have to look at the exclusive artists you want. RB has bands like ACDC, the Who, and coming in september the Beatles...GH has Aerosmith, Metallica, Queen...
I prefer the GHWT instruments way better though. But for the wii version of GHWT, you need a remote to power each peripheral, so to do the full 4 person band going, you need 4 remotes.
