Wii Game Exchange

Hi

Can you exchange an opened Wii game for the same one but the 2nd version of the game and just pay the difference?  I know that probably sounds confusing. I got Zumba Fitness (1st one) for the wii the end of December.  I have opened the game and just went through some of the menus.  Haven't actually tried any dances yet.  I noticed it doesn't have a feature i thought it would and i know Zumba Fitness 2 does.  I would rather have Zumba 2 but don't want to pay another 40 for the 2nd one and end up with 2 games when i only want one.  That's why i would like to know if i can exchange Zumba 1 for Zumba 2 and pay the difference?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Wii Game Exchange

Unfortunately, once a game is opened, you cannot return or exchange the game for a refund or a different title. Once opened, software can only be exchanged for the same title on the same system (usually due to the original copy being defective). This is to prevent people from making a copy of the game and then returning it for a different game or a refund.

If you want Zumba 2, you'll need to purchase it. One option you do have though, is to trade in the original Zumba for store credit through the store's trade-in games area, and then use that credit toward the purchase of Zumba 2. At this point, this is the best option for you to save at least some money on the purchase of Zumba 2.

Hope that helps clear things up a bit!

Re: Wii Game Exchange

You can sell ZUMBA 1 online and use the money to purchase ZUMBA 2.

There are no stores, online or brick-and-mortar, that will take back an opened game for full price.

If you want to recoup some cash, your best bet is to sell it to get the most value back.
