Am I able to check my credit card balance on line?

Not online, but you can call 1800-663-2275 to check your card balance over the phone.

It is expected that in the near future you will be able to manage your Future Shop card account online. In the meantime, you can check your balance by calling the number on the back of your Future Shop card.

Yeah, definately.

Even if there was just a simple program that safely showed you your updated account balance only, that would be really helpful. Phoning every time gets to be rather tedious. Not to mention it's a bit ironic having to phone rather than using the internet for such a technology-based store like Future Shop, haha. I was actually quite surprised when I learned you couldn't check the balance online somehow.

Why is it ridiculous? I'd wager most everyone with credit has a cellphone - what better way than instantaneous notification at your fingertips. They said the internet was ridiculous too...

Because that seems much less safe, anyone can pick up your phone and look at your messages. At least with Internet balances you have a user-name and password. Let's just say at this point with technology it'd be ridiculous. They could come up with some sort of system in the future that would work.
