Bad Experience with Future Shop Online Order

I ordered a laptop (HP 14") online on Dec 24, 2011 and got an order number and a tracking number few days later. I was supposed to get my laoptop on Jan 10, 2011, unfortunately I still don't get it yet. I called customer service and was told Canada Post lost the product and FS is no longer selling the same model, so I have to order another one without addiontal discount, or FS will refund my money back.
Customer service said I didn't lost anything which I totally disagree. I ordered the laptop during the boxingday period by paying $269.99, but now the similar laptop is $360+, so I have to pay $100 more to get the similar one. Do you think this $100 is my lost?
Let's say you pay $10,000 deposit to buy a $200,000 house in Edmonton in 2005, and in 2006 developer says there is no house for you and give your deposit back, so you won't loss anything, but the truce is the houseprice already jumped up from $200,000 to $350,000. If you were me in this case, do you think nothing lost? Are you still happy with this developer even you have to pay more money to get your dream house?
I made an online order and I already paid whatever you asked me to pay, so that's called CONTRACT. So where is the penalty for breaking the CONTRACT?

Thanks for reply.
I talked to FS custmer service first and was told I should call Canada Post, so I contacted Canada Post and they said the product was in Richmond on Jan 6, 2012 and supposed to be delivered to me on Jan 10, 2012, other than that, they don't have further information. Canada Post suggested me to talk with FS directly, so I talked to FS again. I feel myself like a soccer ball and was kicked around by these players.

Update news. I called Canada Post again and was told Canada Post never got the laptop from FS warehouse. So I called back to FS and FS said Canada Post never came to pick it up. It's too funny. Nobody admire their mistake and nobody touched the laoptop, somehow the laptop is hiding by itself. I can't hold laughing.

I wish i read this before i ordered my laptop online. I am having the same problem and until now I still dont have my laptop. I ordered mine online and it was supposed to be delivered last week. It was taking too long so i called canada post and they told me to open an investigation to call future shop. I called futureshop and they said they will open an investigation.
Honestly at the moment, i am sooo regretting ordering something from future shop. Shopping online is supposed to be convenient and this is the most inconvenient online shopping ever. The customer service told me that it will take another week for the investigation to finish. Seriously it is way taking so long that it is not worth it! I just want to cancel my order (but of course i cant). My only option right now is to buy from another store a laptop and just return the one i bought online (if ever i receive it which would probably take another 2 weeks or so if they even find it!).
