Can't 'contact us', no price match, web site errors continually.

Either my future shop account is messed up, or heads should be rolling at FS headquarters if this is happening to more than just me.

Anyways, I am unable to use 'contact us', price watch, 'customer support' or anything else to get help.

This isn't just today, the last time I checked this was over a month ago.

I've tried this on two computers with 3 browsers and I get the same behaviour.

Here's a paste of the page I get (once in a while I get the 'an error has occurred, please hit the feedback button to tell us about it' page, which of course just leads to another error when I try to use it.).

So, can somebody either fix my account, fix the website, or point me to an email address that I can just email to get around this silly error?

thanks

Here's the page I receive:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>

Hi bluenote,

Sorry to hear about your struggle here... I'm just trying to replicate the errors you've mentioned but everything is working from my computer.  Is it just when you click on the link for "Contact Us" or "Customer Support" that you receive these messages?  Are you clicking from the footer banner?

Thanks,

Laura

[ Edited ]

Hi Laura

FYI, I've received a couple of emails from FS and , the problem still exists, and, nobody has been real helpful.

To replicate this condition, I guess you have to be logged in as me.  (I don't have a second account to test against).  Once logged in as me, if I am on the main website, and click on even 'community forum' (from the top banner), or 'add to price watch' when viewing an item, or try to do a contact us feedback form, I get this error (pasted below).

Once that happens, I get it even if I try to sign out.  To get into the forum I open a new browser session, sign out, and then go into the forum and sign in.

Be great if you could help.  If you can't, since the main FS accounts and forum accounts seem to be separate, then maybe you could just get my FS site account deleted and I can re-create it.  I imagine this to be some kind of database error limited to me.  Or it could be happening to a lot of people, and they just aren't persistent enough to get it reported.

thanks

When you say you cannot contact anyone, are you talking about Customer Support?

I have these problems too.

I can't log into my account at Futureshop to make purchases... :smileysad:

This is really irritating, I almost missed the Daily Deal yesterday because of this issue and hence I had to drive to the store to pick up the product.

What happens when you try to log in, coldpower32? Can you make a screenshot and attach that?

Same error here.

Can't do anything account related. Can't log in to add something to my wishlist, and yet it says I can't log out!

Same on (competitor) website.
