Wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem!

 

Just to reiterate, the problem I get is a 'Web Server error'.  My account has been messed up for several months since the release of HARRY POTTER 7 Part 1 on DVD and Blu-ray.

 

You cannot view your wish list, you cannot checkout an online purchase, and you cannot access the 'contact us' web page!  Every attempt to access one of these pages sends you to the dreaded 'web server error' page.  You cannot even log out of your account!

 

The funny thing is, this also affects your competitor in Canada whom uses the exact same online system.  Whomever you are licensing this software from, give these people hell because you guys are licensing buggy software.

 

I did manage to call in to customer service.  They were of limited, okay no help, because they could not accept my login and password to check into it themselves.  Of course, they cannot reproduce the problem without access to my account either.

 

I did come up with a solution -- sort of.

 

I created a new account with a new email address.  That account works flawlessly, but my old account still does not work.  What's worse is that the system was smart enough to merge my two accounts even though I provided two separate email addresses.

 

If there is anything you desperately need to order, call the order in, or open a new email account and you should be fine.

 

It has nothing to do with cookies or anything on your browser or local computer.  I tried different browsers, different computers, and this even happened at Future Shop when an associate logged in for me.  It can happen on any computer that is trying to access my old account, so it is definitely a software bug.

 

Still no access to my old 'wish list' though.

Its in the first post laura.

 

I emailed CS to ask them to delete my account, which they have done.

 

But apparently deleted is just "inactive", so now I can't log in to it,

and can't create a new account with that email and the people at CS still insist its deleted.

How about getting someone that is qualified to look at this Laura?

 

Just for reference, the people in http://community.futureshop.ca/t5/Off-Topic-Feedback/website-is-broke-Am-I-the-only-one-Runtime-erro... that thread are talking about the same thing.
