Extended Warranty Question

Hi,

I have a quick question. I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop I purchased just over a year ago. I also got a 3 year extended warranty during my purchase where the sales rep told me that if I have any trouble I can bring it in and if they either can't fix it or I hve 3 major failiures, they will replace the laptop with a current one of equal value.

I've been having some trouble with the laptop as of late (the HDMI jack seems to be going). I'm pretty satisfied with the laptop so if it can be fixed, halleluja, but if not I was just wondering if it would be possible to get a gift card/store credit in the laptops value or if I can exhcange for a desktop system instead, or does the warranty apply stritly to exchanges for a product of similar function and value. (ie: laptop for laptop, TV for TV, Desktop for Desktop etc...) Any help woud be greatly appreciated. Best,

Re: Extended Warranty Question

You can find the Product Service Plan Terms and Conditions here. Specifically:

"At our option [...] we may issue a store credit for the current replacement value, not to exceed the original purchase price. Technological advances may result in a replacement product with a lower selling price than the original product."

If the item is to be exchanged, you'll have the option of receiving a laptop with similar features and specs, or a gift card equal to the value of a laptop with similar features and specs. This must be arranged with the store manager at the time the exchange is to be done.
