Hello so I am looking into purchasing a Laptop from Futureshop (NV5909H to be more exact), and want to do so using gift cards in my possession. Now I am willing to purchase the Laptop either instore or online. I tried to purchase it last night at the $629 price point but ran into a couple issues in doing so. The price has now gone back up, but I did print off an invoice for it showing it was $629. So I do hope because of the circumstances they will still honor it. But, here are the issues I am having. First off I actually want to you up to ten gift cards at once each with various values im order to pay off the Laptop. It seems I can only use to three cards online, so I hope that can be resolved in store, or over the phone. Secondly half of my gift cards are from (competitor). Now I know some of you are going to ask how do I expect gift cards from (competitor) to work at FS but I have done it before without issue. (competitor) credit always works online at least, and the balance of (competitor) credit can be checked at Future Shop, and vice versa so I doubt that would be much of an issue with an experianced csr. So what are my options? Can I combine the balance of the five cards from each retailer onto one card or can I just go instore and pay using all the cards at once? I also want to make sure I can still buy the Laptop at the sale price so I hope there is no issue there. Any opinions would be very helpful.

You can use a maximum of three different payment methods when making a purchase.  If you have more than three gift cards, then the amount will have to be combined onto three cards.  I don't think that can be done online.  Bring your gift cards from the competitor to the store and see if they will combine them for you.  Something tells me this isn't something that's normally supposed to be done, but if they allow you to do it, then more power to you   Don't be surprised if they do not allow it.

As for the price point - if it was a sale, and you missed out on buying it during the sale period, you won't get the lower price - or at least you shouldn't.  It's not the store's fault you didn't get out and get the product while it was on sale

I understand what your talking about with using (competitor) gift cards at FS but that should only work online. So why not go to each store and combine your 10 gift cards into 2 cards, 1 from each store.
