I feel that my resume would look bad since I had to copy and paste and when I did that it looked messed up even if I fixed it a bit...
When you answered the questions (and copy/pasted your resume) and clicked submit, didn't it let you attached up to 2 documents? You could have attached your properly formatted resume there.

Yes I did attatch it but still I don't feel good when it comes to Online application...
I also have to see if Canada WonderLand got my application...
I don't understand why FutureShop will not accept the old fashion way like most places do...
Oh well, I guess I have to get use to this...
You think it's a good idea to call though??

I think they'll understand that the text box doesn't allow for an attractive formatted resume, which is why I'm sure they'll open your attachement.
Before you call, just make sure you've given them a few business days to mull over the avalanche of applications they've likely received!
do weekends count as business days?

When I went over the online application form, I noticed that there is section called "skills" that asks for proficiency, years of experience, and last used. I have a few questions about this:
1. Are you required to fill this section out? If so, do you have to fill out all 3 boxes?
2. Are there any specific types of skills that you'd want to be stated? I am assuming that they should be relevant to the job I am applying for, but specifically, how relevant?

I'm sorry but this forum is slow...
It's best to call the Future Shop you want to apply in to get your answer as quickly as possible.
I might as do what I believe I should do since it's slow...

To be considered for a job, its a very good idea to fill in everything you can.
Since you are targetting futureshop, the skills you list should be relevent to the retail and customer service business.
Relevant skills: mulitasking, knowledgeable, outgoing, enthusiastic...
Not relevant skills: can drive bobcat, singer, obsessive compulsive...
Just do your best ![]()

I could be wrong (in which case someone should correct me), but I think that the "online interview" is the online application process (where you filled in your contact info, job history, skills, etc.).
I think you're just supposed to wait for a phone call now.

Oh great -.- the old fashion "wait for a call" time....
I called the manager asking them question what an Online Interview was and they explained.
I asked when the manager would start calling people and they said sometime this week and for other FS next week!
I'm going to call the FS calling this week on Monday and the one that is calling next week next Monday after the next week.
I don't think they would call me b/c I'm probably going to be the youngest employee lol
As a merchandiser all I do is make sure stocks are up and I help out customers with there needs right?
I really hope that the manager gives me a chance with a FACE to FACE interview... My resume isn't going likely to get me interested.
The manager really have to interview me to decide.
