Hi Karam, I believe that Future Shop usually likes to hire people that are 18 or older for the ConnectPro computer technicians. While this doesn't mean you can't be hired younger, it will be harder. That said, Future Shop does have one requirement that I know of for their ConnectPro computer technicians - you must have the A+ certification.
Take a look into this and you can go from there. Good luck with the hunt!

So I applied for a couple of positions with Future Shop online:
Seasonal Sales and Customer Service - Coquitlam
and
Gaming & DVD/CD Sales Associate - Coquitlam Centre
My resume has retail and computer support experience, my availability is open, yadda yadda, but I haven't receieved a phone call yet, and its been a few weeks. I really want to work with Future Shop, or at least get an interview, confirmation of a no, etc.
How would I go about doing this? Phoning the store and talking to who? Or going to the store and talking to someone? But again, who?
Thanks in advance.

They're usually receptive to prospective employees who don't mind trying different positions. Even though you applied for the merchandizing position, the interviewer might ask you what position you'd prefer (at least thats what happened at my interview).
Good luck

I have a question.
I had my 2nd interview last Wednesday with the GM of the store. It went great and I got a call 2 days after offering me a job in home theatre. The lady told me they would be in contact with me to set up a time to fill out paperwork and what not. Its been a week and I have not heard back yet. Does anyone have any recommendations? Should I call them? Or be patient? or does anyone have any other ideas?
Just wondering why they would offer me the job, then wait so long to set things up

I am interested in working at Futureshop. I like Home Theatre a lot and do have some good knowledge on HDTV's, Blu-ray, Surround sound Receivers and speakers...but do you have to be a Product Expert to help people pick out these kind of products? I'm not looking to be on Commission, but still sell people products, or at least answer their questions. Is this possible to do, even if I haven't worked in sales at all? Is there some sort of training program all employees in this area must go through?
I was also wondering if it is possible to work part-time like 3-4 days a week, and what the regular working hours would be and if they are somewhat flexible with them like if I could work until no later than 4pm because of other thingsI have to do?
If anyone can give me some guidance with these questions that would be awsome. Thanks a bunch!

Hi RiverRun5,
We're currently hiring for the holiday season, so I'm going to direct you over to that thread. Follow the instructions in the first post to get set up for a guaranteed phone interview with a recruiter in your area.
Thanks and good luck!
