Hey there,
I heard from a friend of mine that there is a new Future Shop opening in the Kitchener, Ontario area that is currently hiring. However, I can`t find it on the careers page. Do you know how I could apply to this new location?

Hey there! If you click on FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES you can post an online application that any store in your area can access if they are actively hiring.

Hello everyone!
I wanted to know the person to whom I should address while writing my application cover letter, subsequent letters during my application and follow up letters?
As far as I know, the applications are sent to CHQ (I know its HeadQuarters but the C in CHQ is unclear) and then the info I supplied in the forms like Name, Address, Phone are sent to the Store Manager or Operations Manager, then they will contact me if required.
Now, should I address my letters to the Store Manager or the Hiring Captain or someone in CHQ. please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The store managers are who you'd want to address. It may be reviewed by a General Manager, Operations Manager, Department Sales Manager or a specific Department Head depending on which department you applied for and how they like to review applications and perform interviews in that particular store.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
Best of luck!

Hi, i have gotten an interview at future shop later on this week. I was wondering if anyone knew what to expect out of a first interview with future shop, and suggest tips as well. If you could provide some examples of questions they typically ask, and some good responses. I'd greatly appreciate any help from anyone. Also, i am applying for a sales position if that helps with suggestion ideas etc.

Hi,
Well, it's hard to say what your manager will specifically want to see and what they'll ask, but for interviews in general, you'll want to be punctual, enthusiastic (try not to border eccentric), decisive (you'll need to be quick on your toes) and express a bit of what makes you different than everyone else. These are all qualities you'll be expect to show on the floor as a Product Expert.
Also, remember to wear something appropriate that's clean, wrinkle-free and scentless (or very, very light cologne/perfume, you'll encounter lots of people who are sensitive to scent).
Probably the most advantageous piece of advice I could give you or anyone looking for a career anywhere, is that you must be confident. Show this with a firm handshake, sitting up straight, making eye contact and those decisive answers I was talking about.
I hope this helped!

Had an interview on Friday with the Operations Manager at a Futureshop location. I thought it went well but he told me that he'd have to talk to the other supervisors and they'd call me back for a 2nd interview if it works out. Been a few days now, think I might've missed out on it. ![]()
