I purchased a printer ink a week ago and opened the package to replace the empty ink in my printer but my printer won't recognize the new ink. It seems that I have purchased the wrong number (I use Epson 126 but purchased 125) and I cannot find the receipt. Would it be, at all, possible for me to exchange this ink with a 126 without the receipt? I don't know what to do with the ink now

Denise, if I were you I would go back to your store right away with your credit card and all of your original packaging and explain your situation to Customer Service.
There are no guarantees, but the sooner you do this the better.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news....
Prepaid cards are not refundable, nor are opened packages of consumable products (such as batteries, ink, and food), microphones, sheet music, in-ear monitors, harmonicas, musical instrument strings, and apparel.
If the cartridge seals are broken, the expensive cartridge would be risky to install without making a mess.... the ink cartridge has a chip making the cartridge unreadable. The cartridge has no value to anyone.
