Digital FTA PVR?

Hi all,

I've been looking all over the place for a PVR that has a built in Digital Tuner (ATSC) so it can receive Free-To-Air signal from our Antenna... Any suggestions?

The closest thing I could find is this, but no PVR capabilities nor a HDD: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/access-access-digital-tv-converter-1030-d-1030-d/10162862.asp...

Thanks in advance!

Dario

Re: Digital FTA PVR?

Are you willing to use a computer/laptop? The website used to have a Hauppauge (model 950q) USB device that was perfect for it. However it's not listed any more. You might want to visit Future Shop to see if they still stock it.

I own one and it's perfect. However these antenna devices are very picky..... if you live in a concrete condo, reception may be useless. If you live in a home with a window available facing the local broadcast towers.... you will be in heaven.

Re: Digital FTA PVR?

Unfortunately, a computer really isn't an option. :smileysad:

The antenna we have (yet to be mounted properly) will be mounted onto the chimney of our house for best reception. There are a lot of houses south of us, so we need to basically go up and over them to get a solid signal. (The CN Tower and Buffalo are both south of us.)
