Has anybody had problems using this? Mine often shuts down mid-playback or if I leave it on too long. My computer has started running slowly and freezing up even when WinTV is off. I always delete shows after watching them and don't keep more than 2 hours of recording on my computer. I've been running Disk Error Check every time my computer freezes up, and it seems to work okay until the next time I use WinTV. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've been using this product for 2 years and love it! It was great for the Olympics as a second TV!
A few thoughts....
- For best results, I needed to have the supplied antenna facing a window with a broadcast tower to get HD.
- Also have you go to the website to grab their version 7 PVR software? They had a new version released a month ago. I had problems with 1.3's MPG conversion and went back to 1.2.
- Also how much free space do you have on your computer (or on each drive)? If you have MPG conversion enabled, it converts the TS file to MPG when recording is completed. Check to see your Pause and Recoding folders/drives have lots of space. HD takes 10gb per hour.
- I've used it on Celeron, Dual and Quad core machines. The quad-core runs much smoother than the Celeron or Dual-core.

My computer's specs:
Processor: AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00 GHz
Memory: 2 Gb
System Type: 32-bit Operating System
I have 1 Gb free space on my C drive. I have MPG conversion enabled. I have a regular cable TV signal (not HD) from a Shaw digital box. I have the WinTV Version 7 software.
What is 1.2 and 1.3 MPG conversion? Is that a setting in WinTV, or is it on my computer? How do I find out which one I have, and how do I change it?
