No Picture when Cable box is hooked up through AV Receiver?

Hi,

I have my Cogeco cable box (Motorola DCT 6200) connected to my Yamaha (HTR-6240) AV Receiver, using a DVI to HDMI cable.  I have an HDMI cable going out from the AV Receiver to my LG TV (47LG50).

The problem is that I get a correct video signal on my TV for a second or two then it disappears.

Does anyone know why I am having this issue?  I should mention that when I hook my cable box directly into my TV using the same DVI to HDMI cable I am having no problems.  Why am I having a problem when the video signal is directed into the AV Receiver up to the TV?

Any help would be appreciated.

That's a common problem with the Motorola's box. It's a HDCP issue when you have a receiver in the signal path. You have to connect the Cogeco box directly to the TV.

Thanks for your help.  I was thinking it be a HDCP issue, now I'm convinced.  :smileywink:
