Re: Show us your Home Theatre Setup!

[ Edited ]

Front view (terrible camera, any "blemishes" are because of the lens or dirt, not actually on the wall)

The previous post was altering the aspect ratio of this picture, so I include it as a separate post.

Of note - I have turned the post of the centre channel stand around and the wire now runs inside.

The TV is the Panasonic TC-P42S2 to get me through to Summer 2012 when hopefully Panny will have a 3D set that utlizes Kuro technology, zero blacks and no floating blacks. I didn't mind spending $800 on this set in Summer, but wouldn't spend $2,000 on a 65"VT25 with its current issues. Those who got the LG 50" plasma (250PK) from FS for $699 on Boxing Day, wow, what a steal, wish I had waiting 6 more months for that one!

Underneath the sub is a Gramma riser by Auralex, for only $50 in the US it is amazing how well it can isolate a speaker from the floor. I used to have hardwood floors, so the Gramma was imperative.

The last speakers I will ever buy... (fingers crossed)

TV is a 52" sony XBR9 wall mounted with all wires nicely concealed. Sources are Rogers HDPVR, Sony BDP-550, and Apple TV 2nd gen. Speaker set-up consists of Martin Logan Vantage Fronts, Stage Center, and Depth i Subwoofer all in Dark Cherry, with the baby Motion 4's in the back. Powering the logans is a Parasound HCA-855A amplifier with a Yamaha HTR-6190 reciever being used as a processor. The amp is rated very conservatively at 85 watts x 5 @ 8 ohms. The speakers are all 4 ohm, which brings the amp to about 125 a channel.

Re: Show us your Home Theatre Setup!

Some pretty nice setup here.  Although nothing fancy, it does the job well for me.
