PC upgrades help

I want to upgrade my PC for gaming. What should I do? i was thinking add some parts like video cards and memory. I want it to run nicely but i dont want to spend too much either. What do you suggest?

Your other posting on this topic indicates you have a Dell Vostro 200. It has 250W power supply which you will also have to upgrade in order to accomodate a more powerful video card.

 

See this recent discussion - which applies equally to your question.

 

I realize you want to do this as inexpensively as possible - but think hard about the cost-effectiveness of spending money on parts and labor to upgrade your old computer vs buying a new one.
