Pre- Order CE?

Currently stores are not permitted to sell pre-orders on the Collectors Edition of WoW: Cataclysm, pre-orders can only be placed through our website HERE (I have noticed that the website is not taking any more pre-orders) info provided by Bozoman777

Midnight Launch?

Participating stores will have a Midnight launch, and the CE will be in stock as a first come first serve basis without pre-orders.  info provided by Bozoman777

Midnight Launch in Quebec?

There will not be a midnight launch in the province of Quebec.

I'm trying to preorder World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, however there is no option for pick-up (It's grey).  I've been to midnight releases in the past at the Yonge & 16th Future Shop location in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and want to know if I can preorder, print the receipt, and pick-up from that location when the midnight release happens.

Also, as far as midnight releases go, I'm curious to hear how the other futureshops handle them.  I've had the misfortune of some poorly organized ones at young & 16th over the past 2 years, and would consider going to another location if they're better handled.

My two favourite highlights of the Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty midnight release at the Richmond Hill Future Shop...

Arrive #21/22 in line ---> End up #43/44 in line

At one point sheets of paper were handed out by futureshop staff and numbered for the limited free gifts being given out when the doors open.  When the doors actually opened, those sheets of paper were scattered amongst the first 50 people as dozens of 'new' people showed up and cut in line between 10pm and midnight.

I understand that the employees inside don't want to babysit those outside, but there must be a better way than the way it's currently being handled.

Hi,

Blizzard hasn't released and official date of launch for Cataclysm yet, but it is expected this fall or winter. Once a street date is established, we willmost likely allow in-store pick up options via the website although you can already pre-order in-store. We will more than likely be having a midnight launch for the game.

Although the forum wasn't designed to address customer service issues, such as an unorganized midnight launch, I'd recommend that next time you're back at the Richmond Hill location that you speak with the Operations Manager there and let them know of your concerns for future midnight launches and events.

Hello there Polaris!

As the December 7th date has been released to the public, we have been getting an increased interest in a country wide Midnight launch party. Unfortunately we will not know for certain if there will be a launch party until closer to the launch date, however judging how popular the World of Warcraft series is we will more than likely have one.

Since blizzard has anounced the release date of it's new expansion on Dec 7. I'm wondering if there is any news about a midnight release at futureshop again. I bought the last expansion at midnight at the futureshop by me in Brampton and had a blast. I hope to do it again.

Hi Valth,

   Although there is no official annoucement about a midnight release, Futureshop does tend to do midnight releases for most high-profile games.  Keep an eye on the website and your local flyers for information closer to the date as this will be one of anticipated expansions of 2010.

I pre-ordered the Collectors edition of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, for the release date of Dec 7th. Currently the only option for pre-ordering was the delivery method. I would rather pick it up in a store as the local store will be having a midnight launch.

Will I be able to edit my order closer to the date so I can pick it up at midnight (with many of my friends) with the other ravenous hordes out there?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we're not able to do pre-orders in-store for the collector's edition as each store will only get a limited quantity. If you would like to ensure you get the collector's edition, I'd recommend fulfulling your pre-order online and don't forget to select express shipping if you want it within the first few days!

If your friends plan to be the first few in line, then that's your chance to snag one!

Is there anyway to update the shipping options so I can choose a faster method of delivery? I would like to play it when the game launches, as many people would like to.
