Hi,

I pre-ordered World of Warcraft Cataclysm with a SteelSeries mousepad in-store however when I arrived to pick it up I got this instead, they kept on telling me that this was the mousepad that came with it and they know nothing about any other pre-order bonuses and would not honor it unless I could provide them proof of it existing (WebID + physical flyer).

Please help, I have nothing to back it up other than my memory and a low-quality archive of the flyer available on the internet.

I pre-ordered the CE on November 28th for delivery (as this was the only option, and I really didn't want to have to stay up until past midnight to get it in-store, anyway), however, although the Future Shop site is telling me that the CE is in stock, it's now almost noon on December 8th and it still hasn't shipped.

The payment has been authorized by my credit card (i.e., my available credit has been reduced by $90 and some odd cents), although the transaction has yet to be posted.  Presumably it won't be posted until the thing ships.

It doesn't help that I visited both Future Shops and the (competitor) here in Kitchener last night and that, despite their respective websites saying all three stores had the CE in stock, none of them had it (the (competitor) was sold out of Cataclysm entirely, which has no bearing, as this is the Future Shop forum, I just thought I'd mention it).

Any thoughtson what's going on?  I'm starting to get a little antsy here.

First thing you should know is that when you order something online, it does not get shipped from your closest Future Shop store, it comes from the closest supply depot to you.  So the fact that your local Future Shop still has CEs in stock has absolutely no bearing on the stock of your order. 

Your best bet here would be to call customer service (1-800-663-2275 | service@futureshop.com) and inquire about the status of your order.  If you are really getting as antsy as you seem to be, what you can always do is purchase the CE that is in stock at your local Future Shop, and then return the one that was shipped to you once it arrives for a refund.  Just some food for thought.

I understand that the product will ship from the nearest depot.  It just strikes me as unusual that the CE would be in stock for online orders yet my order would not yet have shipped.

You're right, however, contacting customer service is probably the way to go.  Thanks.
