The collectors edition is a limited edition and only so many will be made.

A lot of people are getting worried because they see that Future Shop is still allowing people to preorder the collectors edition of Diablo 3 online despite the fact that many other (if not every other) online retailer for this game, including (competitor), has stopped taking any additional preorders.

What assurance do we have that Future Shop is not overbooking preorders? How much stock of this game did you acquire from Blizzard?

In the event that there are more preorders than there are collectors editions to hand out, what determines who will get their order fulfilled and who will not? Will it be based on the date/time stamp on when the order was placed, or will it devolve into a first-come, first-served basis?

For all pre-orders online, you will be given a ship notice to confirm your unit. We put counters on our CE/LE versions so we can confirm units for everyone. Pre-order your order soon as we are close to closing down CE/LE preorders on Diablo 3.

So Godwin (cool name btw), are you confirming then that those that have already pre-ordered are pretty much guaranteed to have their CE copy?

Can you also check if the game will be shippable to Quebec?  emails to Customer Service have been met with silence so far...

Why wouldn't it be? I'm pretty sure Blizzard is also selling a French version of the game meaning that they are selling a product in accordance to Quebec's law about English/French product.

We have both English and French versions of the CE available now online. You can also pre-order in-store starting today as well!

Meaning that, if what a I know about the law in Quebec still stand, you can pre-order the English version of the D3 CE and receive it when it's released,even if you live in Quebec, as the law only forbid the sale of English only product when there's no French alternative available.

Thanks both of you, that's great news.  I had gotten a very vague, canned and different response some time back from customer service.  I hated the idea of having to make different arrangements.

The form has been open for months now, unless they have a counter on their d3 pre order form and close it and re open it only when they are confirmed x amount of stock.

I'm pretty sure there is a counter for estimated stock levels and the preorder is set as 'sold out' once that number is reach. The troubles with using one for preorders is that the supplier still has to fulfill the initial quota as well, which doesn't always happen.
