You will have to manually remove the Norton from your computer or it will stay there forever.
There are a couple ways to do it.
1. Open your Programs and Features. (Or add/remove program in xp). Look for North AntiVirus and uninstall it.
2. Search google for Norton removal tool and run the tool.
Make sure you only have 1 antivirus running in your system. More than one scanners running can cause major computer slow down and sometimes block ports that you need.
