I've recently purchased a lg x120 netbook with windows xp home, it has a smart on button for splashtop and is supposed to have a recovery partion, my brother accidently formated the recovery partition and now I am unable to use the smart on button or the recovery option (F11 when booting up). is there anyway to get a recovery image for  the lg x120 netbook? Im trying to pitch these netbooks to my company for all of the managers becasue they are so cheap, but I need a working one to do so. any help would be appreciated. I do have a usb optical drive if there is a recovery cd, but I did not get one with my purchase? is this something futureshop would have or do I need to get it from lg? I called lg customer support but they were not much help. the tech there told me that my splashtop and recovery partition will never work again. not very good support for a manufacturer.

I was wondering about this as well.

I was live chatting with an agent from LG on their website, and he suggests that there is a recovery dvd availible for our laptop.  He gave me the toll free number to LG, and told me to ask the people there to arrange a way to get that dvd.

In turn you'll have to find a way to get the laptop to boot from that dvd, there's a number of ways to do this.

Let me know how that turns out, as I'm thinking of formatting it as well, if this recovery dvd exists, then I can feel rest assure when I start tinkering with it.

I am italian and i've talk both with italian constumer services that with Germany LG services... and they say to me that DO NOT EXIST A DVD RECOVERY DISC FOR X120 !!! So i send a mail to Technical Engeneer of LG support but they do not know how to solve the problem... they say to use LG Intelligent upload... BUT IN THIS UPLOAD IS NOT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL SMARTON...

If you see the site you can find that there is a DVD RECOVERY DISC CENTER... but neverone know this dvd... HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP !!!!

Have you obteined the DVD for your laptop Lgx120?

I need this Recovery DVD too, I was wondering to find a way to get it but my Local Lg Support (Italy) doesn't want to help me!

If you don't mind, let me know how the way to get that DVD, if it exists and if you know..
