Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type.
If you're using it with a digital camera, then many cameras use a proprietary picture format. In order to get the pictures onto your computer from such a camera's memory card you would need to keep the card in the camera and use a cable to connect the camera to your computer with the software for it installed.
