Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

[ Edited ]

For Final Fantasy XIII-2 specifically: if anyone has reliable information about these two things would be greatly appreciated (I can also understand if the information is not known or uncertain or is not for people to know except those who are involved; because of the specificity of the question itself).

1. Is there a specific date that Final Fantasy XIII-2 and the collectors edition will be sent out?

2. Is it specifically through Canada Post?

3. For the two warehouses: what regions will each warehouse send to?

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

My information is only from a consumer's point of view, albeit one who has pre-ordered a bunch of stuff in the past.

I've found the majority of pre-orders come via Purolator.  If you pre-order close to the release date (like the weekend or Monday), you might get it from Canada Post.  I don't know the exact reason why one shipper or another is used.

Pre-orders usually ship on Monday or Tuesday, I think it depends on when the item arrives in the warehouse and perhaps the volume of pre-orders and where you were in the queue.  I'm guessing street dated items arrived in the warehouse sooner and can thus be shipped sooner.

I'm in the GTA and 99% of my orders come from Mississauga.  The only time I received something from Vancouver was when it was probably the last item in stock, and happened to be over there.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

(1) No specific date.  It usually ships sometime around or near the release date.

(2) Almost always Canada Post.

(3) I am in Ontario and receive my packages from Mississauga.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

I appreciate the feedback.

I am hoping for something specific from the company itself.

However, keep them coming.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

Hi Scire,

Just a quick note that normally FutureShop doesn't make official announcements on the community. They have been known to answer question from time to time but the community isn't mandated to do this.

But I'm sure someone will come around and answer your question.

Maybe the best bet would be to contact support and ask them directly?

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

I have had sent them a question based on the Final Fantasy XIII-2 about a week and I have not heard back from them. This seems to be an excellent source of information. Surprisingly.

I must admit that it is amazing a message board have an direct impact on a company. It is an extremely nice thing to see.

(2) Almost always Canada Post.

...actually everything I've ever pre-ordered has come by Purolator too, except the steelbooks, which come by Canada Post.

For those who are from Puralator. What province or city are you from?

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Shipping Question

debaser17 I live in Alberta as well... I am curious generally how long you have to wait to get your shipment and in what condition do you get it in?

The one thing that really worries me if I get a shipment that is not Canada Post it is difficult to receive and I am not sure what they do with it.

The problem is that I have a full time job and well... I hope they don't just leave it on my porch or something like that? If so, I rather pick it up myself... However, Canada Post is pretty good about it because they will leave it in a fairly secure location (This is another big concern).
