Good job

[ Edited ]

Wow, you were able to ship Uncharted: Golden Abyss to arrive on time but you ship PS Vita First Edition Bundle one day later. On top of that, you ship it via Canada Post (weren't you used to ship pre-orders bia Purolator???). I won't even receive my PS Vita on time (so, what's the point of ordering the First Edition Bundle if you can't get it on release date????). Is it what your consumers get for being loyal to you???

Usually, I have nothing to say against your delivery service but now I'm not even sure if I'll ever pre-order again from your site.

Re: Good job

What company the item is shipped with depends on the method of shipping you chose at the checkout.  Did you choose the free shipping or the express shipping?

Not sure why the game was shipped before the console, but maybe the warehouse received the game first?  Your items are shipped as they become available.

Even if you don't get it "on release date" you will still have it before anyone can go into the store and buy one.  It's not like you can change your mind and go and buy one tomorrow in the store.

If you can show me where Future Shop has ever made a committment with its customers to have an item that was pre-ordered online in the customers hands on release day, I will gladly eat my hat.  It's always the goal, but isn't guaranteed because so many factors come into play, the biggest of which is that they ship through a third party and the delivery time is out of their hands.

Regardless, you will still have the Vita before anyone else who did not pre-order will.  The way the system is set up has nothing to do with loyalty.  Whether you hhave been buying from Future Shop for years or this is the first purchase you have ever made, you are treated the same as any other customer when it comes to pre-orders.

Re: Good job

Well, I kept the free shipping but I usually choose free shipping and it often use Purolator to ship it anyway. It surprised me to see that the console wasn't shipped at the same time as the game since they charged my credit card yesterday for the Vita order... It's the 5th time I pre-order something on this site and it's the first time it won't arrive on release date...

Re: Good job

Your experiences have been good ones, so I can certainly understand some frustration on your part. However, you need to keep in mind that each experience is independent of the one(s) that came before it. With no guarantee of street date delivery, you cannot use the fact that it has arrived on release day in the past as reason for it to continue to do so.

I've found that in my experience, online orders from Future Shop were charged to my credit card when they were listed as "in stock" in the warehouse, not when they were shipped.

Your best bet would be to inquire about this to Customer service if you really want to know what's going on with your item.

Re: Good job

It would have made me less angry if if was the game that shipped later and that wasn't on release date. The point is that in the First Edition Bundle, there's some value that can be given to the fact that you have it 1 week before. By shipping it later, they reduce this value by 1/7 for each day it arrives later... That's what makes me angry!

The games for PS vita released prior to the console release date, you could actually find some games on the shelf instore already. Maybe that is why you received your game before the console. :smileyhappy:

If I remember correctly, the release date for ps vita is on the 22nd of Feb, one week before means on Feb 15? At the time of your posting, you are one day ahead. :smileywink:

Re: Good job

@awong36: Do you even read the whole thread before replying??? I bought FIRST EDITION BUNDLE, which is released on Feb. 15th. I know we're 1 day before, I'm not stupid, I know which date it is... I know that my Vita probably won't be delivered tomorrow since Canada Post states that the estimated delivery date is 02/16, which is usually right (at least, they almost never deliver before that estimated date...)

As for the games releasing before the official console release date, I might have known that even before you did as I am following everything that is Vita-related since it wasn't even called Vita yet...

First of all, you mention nothing regarding your estimated delievery date on either of your post and since it's before the release date, I had just bought that up to your attention. In addition, FS ships the product as soon as an item is in-stock and released. Therefore, a game releasing prior to the console was dependent on the manufacturer.

Anyways, I only bought this up as a friendly reminder, it was not meant to offend you in any way. I do apologize if my wording was offensive. As

Re: Good job

@awong36: I'm sorry if I seemed rude in my last post (nothing against you, I assure) but I'm really angry because this delivery's quality is below what I'm used to from Future Shop. From all the pre-orders I've made in the last few months, it's the very first time an item won't be here on time. I just wanted to point out this issue. If it was any other item, it would make me less angry but since this item has a '' get the console 1 week ahead of official release'' component, I thought I could have it for that whole week and not only 6 days ahead (and the fact that I've been waiting for this to come out for around 8 months doesn't help...)...

I'm in the same boat as you dessron. I preordered the vita so that I would have it a week early and I recieved a shipping notice today saying that the expected delivery isn't until the 22nd, the normal release date. What the hell? What was the point of pre-ordering? You completely removed the value for preordering, thanks a lot. I had preordered multiple games before and they've all been shipped and arrived to my house the same day. I assume because they came from my local FS store. Why couldn't FS ship the vitas to a local store early so customers get it on time? Or ship it early if it's going to be a week getting here. This is a HUGE disappointment and I'll be avoiding FS like the plague from now on. Ridiculous.
