Resident Evil - Raccoon City

[ Edited ]

I was wondering if you guys will be having any pre-order discounts for Resident Evil - Operation Raccoon City?   (competitor) is offering a $5 discount for the special edition, and 800 RZ Points ($10) for the regular edition of the game.  They are also including an in-game weapons pack and alternate costumes.    Are you guys planning to match or beat it?   I'm trying to decide where to order from.

Check out the Future Shop flyer that starts tomorrow... When you pre-order RE-Operation Raccoon City in store, there is a $10 credit you will receive (good towards purchase of any game you buy in march).

That doesn't really help me, I wanted to order online.   Is the $10 credit valid for all of march, could I put it towards a Mass Effect 3 pre-order?   Or is it only valid after the game ships on March 20th?

One more question... will the Special Edition also come with $10 credit?   Or just the regular version?

I need an answer to my previous questions, or I'm going to have to pre-order somewhere else.   Also, why don't online offers qualify for the $10 bonus? ....

Patience, it's the weekend and there's still some time till the release date to have your issues answered. In the meantime, if your'e anxious and the competitor has a better deal, then what's stopping you from ordering there?

I didn't mean to sound impatient, I just figured since they already replied once, they probably wouldn't reply again unless I put more messages.  I prefer Future Shop, that's why I want to order from here, but I just don't understand why the $10 certificate is only for in-store preorders. =\

Unfortunately, in the past there have been in-store only or online only promotions. I can understand being anxious about securing a special edition. An official representative will likely clear it up for you on Monday, if not earlier.

I'm skeptical about the actual game, but I have to say for $10 more the special edition looks good.

I'm only going to be picking it up because I'm a Resident Evil fan and I got the extra bonus Future Shop credit. I highly doubt it'll be great, but will definitely be fun if you have 3 other to play with, which I'm sure my friends will also pick it up.  It'll be the Left 4 Dead of Resident Evil.

In theory, yes, but this is going to be a third-person shooter vice a first-person shooter, so my guess is this a test of the engine that is being used for RE6. Give people a taste of what the gameplay will be like before the demo and the game release.
